  • Style: Our overall style is photojournalistic, but we make sure to get all the desirable traditional shots as well to insure you have a great selection. We especially enjoy capturing people during candid moments and feel it is the best way to document special moments that may have otherwise been forgotten.
  • If you have a particular style of photography that you prefer, we will be sure to accommodate you. For example, some of our clients have requested that half of their photos are in black and white.

Event – NYC Marathon – 2010

SimpleViewer requires JavaScript and the Flash Player. Get Flash.

The New York Road Runners hired us to take logistical photos of the 2010 New York City Marathon. This involved taking photos of the entire setup of tents, fences, security points and other items at the Fort Wadsworth starting location in Staten Island, New York on the day before the race. On the day of the NYC Marathon, we were responsible for adhering to the event schedule and capturing photos of strategic points in the runner villages, the starting corrals, and at other specified points inside the event. Photos were captured at precise times for some locations, and at different time intervals for other locations.

We covered the event as a two person team, and were responsible for designing a plan for shooting all the critical points in the event at the designated times. The purpose of our job was to provide the New York Road Runner’s marathon planning staff with photographic coverage of things that they never have had the time to actually see in person. The images gathered are going to be used to assist the team in making modifications to their event planning for the next NYC Marathon. We had a great time shooting the event and would like to thank the NYRR planning team for the opportunity to take part in the event. We didn’t run in the marathon that day, but we must have walked at least 5 miles each to cover all of the strategic points we had to capture. Overall, it was a great experience!
