It was our pleasure to photograph the wedding of Tammy and Michael on the 4th of July, 2010 in New York City. It was a very unique event which included a marriage ceremony at the Brooklyn Botanical Gardens, followed by a brunch and an outdoor evening reception party at the Red Hook shipping docks. The party was hosted by American Stevedoring and provided guests with beautiful views of the New York City skyline. Tammy and Michael requested that we concentrate on taking candid / photojournalist style photos for their wedding and were very happy with what we delivered. We also mixed in a few traditional group wedding photos. Overall it was a great experience for both us and the newlyweds, especially since this was not your typical New York Wedding!

These candid marriage proposal photos were taken in New York City’s Central Park at the Wollman ice skating rink. We were hired by Steven, the groom, to take photos and video without being noticed by his girlfriend. He specifically requested that we focus on his girlfriend to capture her facial expressions and reaction to his special marriage proposal.
