Two people, one studio, seventeen years of storefronts

Black Paw Photo is Anthony and Orsi — a husband-and-wife team that has been photographing and filming businesses since 2009. We started with a camera, a ladder, and a hunch that most companies were being shown to the world far worse than they deserved. Seventeen years later, that hunch has turned into a portfolio spanning car dealerships, gyms, jewelers, law offices, vineyards, museums, and just about every kind of commercial space in between.

How we work

Every assignment starts with the same question: what does a customer need to feel before they'll walk through this door? For a showroom that might be gleam and scale. For a medical office, calm. For a bar, the promise of a good night. We light, compose, and edit toward that answer — then deliver files sized and formatted for wherever they'll actually live: your website, your Google Business Profile, print, or a broker's listing sheet.

Because we're two people rather than a rotating crew, the photographer who scouts your space is the one who shoots it and the one who edits it. Clients tell us that continuity is why they keep calling year after year — some, like Blink Fitness, have had us photographing their locations for over a decade as they grew from their first New York gyms to over a hundred sites in six states.

A client story: ten years, one hundred five Blink Fitness locations

Some client relationships become part of the studio's own story. Blink Fitness first called us when they were opening their early New York gyms; a decade later we had photographed 105 of their locations across six states — marketing and advertising imagery for every new club, plus 360° virtual tours through our tour division so members could walk the floor before their first visit. Same two photographers, every single time. That consistency is the point: a brand this recognizable needs every location to look like family.

Behind our cameras

We're rarely photographed ourselves — we're usually the ones holding the camera — but here's what a working day looks like: tripods in showrooms before opening hours, climbing whatever gets the angle, and the occasional rooftop when a building deserves it.

One studio, five specialties

Black Paw Photo is the parent studio of a small family of specialist sites. When a project calls for aerial work we fly it under Sky View Pros, our drone division; interactive walk-throughs and Google tours are handled through Inside Business NYC; and the same eye for detail shapes our web design work at Boheema and the animal portraits at NJ Pet Pics. You can see how it all fits together on the portfolio page.
